We liked everything about this hotel. Location, comfort, friendlyness and most of all the food. We also liked the fact that our dogs could stay with us in our room, and they loved the walks in the woods!!...

The beautiful surroundings and peaceful ambiance of the hotel were the best aspects of our stay. The lush greenery, serene lakes, and tall trees created a truly relaxing atmosphere. the attentive and accommodating staff made our experience even better. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction.
There were a few aspects that we were not pleased with during our stay. the room we were assigned had outdated furnishings and carpets that were in need of a refresh.

Lovely, quirky hotel with character. Food was very good, particularly dinner. In a beautiful setting, extensive grounds. Peaceful and relaxing. The swimming pool was lovely.
Disappointing that the Spa was fully booked so we couldn't book any treatments. This should be flagged when you make your reservation to advise that you need to book treatments in advance. The weather took a cold snap and they were slow to put the heating on, bedrooms and communal areas were very chilly. Once they did put the heating on, it was fine.

There was a variety of activities and pleasant places to sit peacefully in the garden. Various leisurely walks within grounds. Indoor Swimming pool and sauna very accessible throughout the day and with no extra charges payable - great for morning swim before breakfast. Very quiet with no blaring music and it is a non smoking hotel. Lovely cream teas.
Tennis court is unfortunately sited next to overpowering sewage odour and spa treatments disappointingly booked solid a few days ahead.

The Hotel offers the ultimate in luxury and Fine Dining, in superb surroundings, together with friendly, well trained staff, and Management making it the number one choice for us, when ever get the opportunity to get away for a few relaxing days. We dont even consider any other venue, having tried so many in the past, which cant compete with this, which ticks all the boxes for us.
Please mend the rip in the billiard table.

The location of the hotel was good and the comfort level was satisfactory. Despite the rain, I was able to appreciate the beautiful grounds and lake surrounding the property. the spa facilities were modern and well-equipped, providing a pleasant experience.
The food was overpriced and even the coffee after dinner came at an extra cost. Despite making sure they were pet-friendly, I was placed in a separate part of the hotel in a room designed for disabled guests.

Every aspect of presentation, attention to detail led by friendly Management and staff made this a memorable weekend. The quality of decor in the Lodge suites was superb and the furniture well appointed. Room service visit to ensure we were happy with our suite was unexpected and welcome. Food and restaurant service was excellent in the main. Afternoon champagne and cream tea was beautifully served and presented. The overall ambience, grounds and service delivery beyond expectation.
Very minor observations. Dining was very good but the menu a little short on choices. Fresh vegetables very sparce. A mixed side order would have been welcome. Sunday morning breakfast service was very slow, toast burned and very few staff on duty. Minor rostering issue I think. Given the distance to the spa from the hotel, bathrobes in suites would be nice to make transition between spa and suite a little easier. Car-parking a definite issue!
